Study in China
World-class engineering and medicine at a fraction of Western tuition, with generous scholarships.
Why China?
China has become one of the most cost-effective study destinations available to Bangladeshi students. English-medium programmes in engineering, medicine (MBBS), business and computer science are widely available, and Chinese Government Scholarships, Confucius Institute Scholarships and provincial scholarships cover tuition and often accommodation and a monthly stipend.
Very affordable tuition
Full degree programmes at reputable universities often cost less than a single year at a Western institution.
Extensive scholarship funding
Chinese Government Scholarships, Belt and Road scholarships, Confucius Institute and provincial schemes fund large numbers of international students each year.
English-medium programmes
A wide selection of bachelors, masters and MBBS programmes are taught entirely in English, with Chinese language taught alongside.
Strong engineering and technology
Chinese universities rank highly in engineering, computer science, materials science and artificial intelligence.
IELTS often waived
Many Chinese universities accept an English medium of instruction certificate instead of IELTS, though IELTS strengthens scholarship applications.
Low living costs
On-campus accommodation and campus dining keep monthly costs among the lowest of any major destination.

Is MBBS in China recognised in Bangladesh?
You must graduate from a university listed for English-medium MBBS teaching and then complete the BMDC registration examination in Bangladesh to practise. We only place students at universities with an established track record, and we explain the full registration route before you commit.
Do I need to learn Chinese?
For English-medium programmes, no. Chinese language classes are usually included in the curriculum, and basic Mandarin makes daily life considerably easier, particularly for medical students during clinical rotations.
How competitive are Chinese scholarships?
CSC scholarships are competitive but the volume of awards is large. A strong academic record, a clear study plan and an early application are the main factors. University-specific and provincial scholarships are less competitive.
Can I work in China after graduating?
Graduates with a qualifying job offer can apply to convert their student status to a work permit. Requirements vary by city and by job category.
